About the project

Bo is a new character created by Ogilvy Chile for one of Nestle’s brands in the South American market.

To introduce Bo, Ogilvy and Beatmap developed a micro-site to show Bo in an imaginary world through a flipbook. Beatmap then gave life to this world through an interactive micro-site, using a mixture of 3D and 2D graphics.

In this online application the user is presented with a pop-up book that has animations activated by user interaction.

About the project

Savoir Beds is a UK based premier maker of hand-made luxury beds. For their latest print catalog, our client requested the creation of their beds in 3D, instead of only using photos of the beds, like it has been done in the past.

Beatmap created photorealistic images of the four bed models that not only highlighted the exterior materials but also the different layers of materials inside each model. Using our expertise in creating photorealistic materials for our architectural clients, we created materials like soft lambswool, hand teased horse tail, cotton, wool, springs, etc.

The resulting images can easily be confused with a photograph. Another advantage of the use of 3D is that our client now has at its disposal assets that can be easily used in future digital projects like interactive applications and video without having to invest on new assets.

About the project

Hot Express offers a service that allows anybody in Chile to order from a US based business without having a US based delivery address and have the order delivered to their home or office in Chile.

Beatmap was asked to create a fun 3D animation to explain how the service works. The video also includes detailed instructions on how to order online through a vendor like Amazon.com to an audience that is not familiar with this process.

2. About the project

A few years ago, Beatmap developed this website to showcase and combine some of the skills we had developed. At the time, we hadn’t seen many examples of sites that used 3D with video and people filmed in chroma key.

Beatmap and New York based creative director Juan Gallardo designed an online interactive experience to sell a glucometer. At the time we had learned that recording artist Nick Jonas was using one of Bayer’s glucometers. The idea was to allow the web user to enter Nick Jonas “crib” and look around.

For this demo, we focused only in the dining and living room areas of the condo. In this area the user can move around and find objects like the glucometer, an iPod, a drumset (that can be played) and some left over pizza. To add realism to the experience, all objects were created in photorealistic 3D and we added a character in chroma key to welcome the user at the door.
